Ebony wood is found primarily in India, Africa and Southeast Asia. The color varies from black to dark chocolate brown with dramatic black, beige and grey streaks to green. It has a fine texture and a straight to wavy grain, finishes to a beautiful sheen. Because of its hardness, durability and its ability to take a high polish it is used for piano keys, knife handles, turnings, cabinetwork and in this case Humidors.
